Christian application on peer pressure, identity, success, etc. from the wildly popular Disney movie High School Musical from a youth expert and his daughter.
Are you ready? The Wildcats are in the house!
You loved High School Musical, with its energetic dances and
toe-tapping tunes. Do you want Troy and Gabriella to be together
forever? Do you think they have what it takes to be the stars of
the show, or do Ryan and Sharpay deserve it? Are you free to be
yourself, or is your school like East High was before Martha
revealed she loves hip-hop or Zeke owned up to his love of
baking?
There's more you can learn from the East High Wildcats than just
funky dances and catchy songs. Troy, Gabriella, Sharpay, Chad, and
the rest of the gang teach valuable lessons about peer pressure,
being yourself, acceptance, and teamwork, and Wildcats in the House
shows you what the Bible has to say about each of these real-life
situations. You need to be true to yourself and follow your dreams.
Remember, "We're All in This Together," but only God can help us to
"Bop to the Top"!
Steve Russo is a radio host, a drummer, the author of more than
a dozen books, and a dad of three. Throughout the school year he
attends many public school assemblies, where he performs drum solos
and speaks about making better choices in life.
Gabi Russo is Steve's daughter. She's eleven years old, plays the
clarinet, and enjoys swimming and soccer. Gabi is also a big fan of
High School Musical and was the one who introduced her dad to the
movie--and the rest is history!
