Free your children from demonic harassment--and teach them to stay free!

We must not assume that our children are free of threats from darkness. The enemy’s purpose is to grip and blind every generation, establishing strongholds in the lives of our children from a very young age.

Let Our Children Go is a handbook for parents, pastors, and leaders to help free children from evil influences and demonic harassment. Full of true stories about young people who have been set free, it explains the necessity of deliverance ministry for children and discusses many of the issues they face in today’s world. You will learn how to:

  • Determine if an evil spirit is harassing a child
  • Deal with demonic influences and harassment when they occur
  • Train children to identify demonic activity and eliminate it from their lives

Darkness is on the rise, and it is the role of parents, pastors, and other believers to do all we can to ensure the blessing, protection, and freedom of this younger generation so that they can reach their fullest potential.

1 Demons Really Want to Harm My Child?

As parents we must not assume that our children are not a threat to darkness. The enemy’s purpose is to establish strongholds in the lives of our children from a young age. We live in a dark time in history, and I believe that this younger generation is going to see, experience, and be a part of the most strategic and intense times in the history of the Christian church. It is our responsibility to guard and keep what God has entrusted to us. Now more than ever we need to ensure that this younger generation is trained in the way the Lord desires for them to go. We are to have spiritual eyes, wisdom, and discernment to stop the schemes of darkness in their lives from a young age, empowering them to be all they are created to be.
2 What on Earth Has Invaded Our Home?

The spiritual realm is more real than the physical realm. What we see in the natural is temporal and will fade away, but the unseen realm is eternal and active. Many times we hear as parents that our children are afraid of the dark, fearful of what they see at night. They will refer to the monster or bad person who visits during the night hours. The truth is, these young ones are seeing in the spirit realm, and what they are seeing is real. Let’s learn how to teach authority in a healthy manner and how to pray prayers of protection as well as deliverance prayers over our children while they sleep at night.
3 Whose Demon Is It?

Parents will typically recognize the need for their child to receive prayer and deliverance. More often than not, children are dealing with open doors in their lives due to generational influences that have been passed down the family line. When this is the case, both the child and the parents need prayer. How do generational influences affect our children and the lives of our families? What are some of the most common demonic influences passed to our children?
4 The Lure of Worldly Entertainment

Our world is full of ungodly and evil influences. The world of entertainment is steeped in sexual, violent, dark overtones. Witchcraft and violence have infiltrated video games, comic books, childhood reading books, and so on. The music industry is filled with ungodly, sinful, and inappropriate words and lyrics. Wiccan groups are invading our high school and college campuses. Tolerance to pagan religions is more common, and the minds of the younger generation continue to grow numb and even accepting and embracing of the darkness surrounding them on a daily basis. We must learn how to spiritually clean our homes from these influences and release freedom again.

5 The Truth Behind Peer Pressure

Peer pressure is alive and well! Pressure is defined as harassment; oppression, a constraining or compelling force or influence; to force (someone) toward a particular end; influence. As a mother of three teenage daughters, I am aware of the negative, dark, and evil that children are dealing with on a daily basis. Drugs, alcohol, homosexuality, sex, cutting, huffing, lack of respect, and ungodly mind-sets and beliefs are forces that our children contend with on a regular basis. It is imperative that parents establish righteous standards in the home. We need to be certain we are reading the Word, praying together, talking with our children, and knowing where they are in their personal relationships with the Lord.
6 The Tragedy of Abuse

I have witnessed too many times the devastating effects of abuse and sexual abuse in the lives of individuals. It is a heartbreaking fact that many of those I have prayed for who were sexually abused as a child were violated by a parent, guardian, grandparent, babysitter, pastor, youth worker, teacher, brother, sister, or even a neighbor. Often the offender was a believer and attended church. We as the body of Christ have to gain understanding of how to walk in personal freedom from sexual sin and abuse to ensure these patterns are not repeated in our children and future generations.
7 The Power of Trauma

Trauma is defined as a serious injury or shock to the body, as from violence or an accident; an emotional wound or a shock that creates substantial, lasting damage to the psychological development of a person, often leading to neurosis; an event or situation that causes great distress and disruption. Traumas can occur from the time of conception through pregnancy and the growing years. When traumas occur, they can leave a child with feelings of abandonment, rejection, low self-esteem, and sexual identity confusion. We will teach how to minister freedom to areas of trauma and release the Father’s heart of love to bring restoration and healing as well as share stories of redemption, restoration, and love.
8 Words Will Never Hurt Me?

The Bible tells us that our words have the power to bless or curse, to bring death or life. One of the most devastating weapons used against our children is words. Negative words have the power to emotionally wound and paralyze. Repeated spoken phrases of unworthiness and rejection will shape and form an individual’s beliefs, resulting in lack of confidence in his future identity. In this chapter we will discuss the power of words and how they can wound, but we will also discuss how to defeat this scheme of the enemy.
9 The Power of Affirmation

Affirmation is defined as the assertion that something exists or is true; a statement or proposition that is declared to be true. Affirming words of encouragement and love will set the stage for a secure and confident identity. Children who are told they are believed in, loved, and are special will believe these words and grow into security of identity. It will also protect them from lurking fears. Daily hugs and personal affection are necessary. Unfortunately, many children are raised in homes in which affirmation, encouraging words, and love are not a part of their experience. Hear the powerful story of how affirmation changed the life of one young man and how affirmation can bring freedom to your child.
10 Delivering Our Children From the Evil One

Children are a tremendous gift and blessing from the Lord, and securing their freedom from demonic influences and healing them from hurts, traumas, and wounds at an early age will help them fulfill God’s plan for their lives. There is no reason why our young have to wait to receive freedom until their adult years. Let’s see them set free and walking in the fullness of freedom and victory even throughout their childhood.
11 Out of the Mouths of Babes Comes Spiritual Authority

It does not take long when you work with the young to realize that there is not a junior Holy Spirit. The Lord uses our young in very incredible, supernatural ways. The nation of Judah was blessed during the reign of Josiah in spite of his heritage of an evil, ungodly father and grandfather. I believe that God elaborated on the story of King Josiah so that we would know that we are not trapped in family patterns and that our young have the anointing and authority to be great kingdom influencers in spite of their heritages.
12 Turning the Hearts of the Fathers to the Children and the Hearts of the Children to the Fathers

When John the Baptist was born, his father prophesied that he was destined to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children (Luke 1:17). He was the forerunner who prepared the way for God to move. This rising generation is living in the most strategic time in the history of the church. We are living in a day and time when the love of mothers and fathers for their children and of spiritual mothers and fathers for their spiritual children is crucial. One of the main focuses in the coming revival and move of God will be the literal turning of the fathers and mothers to the children and the children to the mothers and fathers.
