Join retired Amish newlyweds Emma and Lamar Miller in Florida
for the winter as they lead another quilting class with a new group
of unlikely students: Jennifer, a pregnant new mom; Mike, a charter
boat owner; Erika, a wheelchair bound teen; Kim, a waitress;
Noreen, a newly-retired widow, and BJ, an artist facing illness.
When old friends visit from Indiana, will romance also become a
subject of class discussions?
Emma Takes Her Amish Quilting Class to the Sunshine
State
Amish newlyweds Lamar and Emma Miller seek warmer weather offered
in Sarasota, Florida, and have purchased a small house in the
Pinecraft community. But Emma wishes her days had more purpose than
leisurely walks on the beach. Before long she is sending back home
for her supplies and advertising a quilting class.
Wounded and hurting people have a knack for finding their way to
Emma’s classes for some quilting therapy: Jennifer, a pregnant new
mom; Mike, a charter boat owner; Erika, a wheelchair-bound teen;
Kim, a waitress; Noreen, a newly-retired widow, and BJ, an artist
facing illness. God will use Emma and Lamar on each of their
journeys toward healing frayed hearts.
And when Jan Sweet, visits from Indiana, a romantic twist is
unexpectedly added to the class dynamics.

“You won’t know if you don’t try.”
After only a couple weeks at their new winter home in Florida, Emma
Yoder Miller is tired of her life of leisure. She misses having
family close by who pop in at all hours of the day. And she misses
her quilt classes. So, her husband, Lamar, encourages her to start
a class in the village of Pinecraft. As the class roster forms,
Lamar and Emma are in for some surprises—as well as visitors from
up north right in the middle of it all.
